The one on the right, reverse printed on PET. The product is a weed & feed – a type of combo fertilizer and grass…

Natural Products East 2014

Peel Plastic Products wrapped up our 3rd year at Natural Products East in Baltimore. It’s inspiring to see the show grow year after year, highlighting how important Health and Wellness is to business and consumers. It’s also pleasing to see both the familiar faces of successful growing companies as well the eager new entrepreneurs.

In packaging design, proper communication of your product and brand’s identity can be achieved through the right choice of colour. @JulieNeidlinger has kindly allowed me to share it. click for full size

Where do tomatoes come from. Naturally, one would answer, “from a cow” or “from a farm.” But not these kids. Their answer? “From the grocery store.” Ok, fair enough. Thinking it might have just been childish cheek, they were then asked, well where does the…

Velcro PressLok and the Natural Products and Organic Market

We are still on our toes from all the excitement from exhibiting at Natural Products West show last month. This event in Anaheim delivered a powerful glimpse into the fast-growing natural products industry. The 2014 show brought together more than 2,600 exhibiting companies and over 67,000 visitors*. Watching from a packaging perspective, we paid close attention to the demographics of the consumer base and the visitors at the show. The natural products consumer demographics seem to parallel those of our…

Petfood Forum 2014 aka How to Attract Visitors at a Trade Show v. 2

I just returned from Petfood Forum 2014, one of the pet food industry’s annual conferences in Chicago. Well, Schaumburg, but that’s close enough. It is primarily an educational conference event, with much networking and an expo alongide. Peel Plastics is a strong supporter of the petfood industry. A large segment of our business, and our associated R&D and technology is devoted to petfood packaging. In fact, I would be so bold as to say we are market leaders in plastic…
